$1 = RM5 Cosmetic and Craft Glitter ???
Hi everyone ! So, Eid is coming up and I know all the girls are super excited to flaunt their new traditional wear and slay their highlight right ? But is that really enough ?? What if I told you I can up your makeup game while keeping it budget friendly !
So I love love love glitter eye looks but I never knew where to get them, so I googled "cosmetic glitter" and the ones that came out was "OCC cosmetics","Violet Voss" and a couple of other US based cosmetics companies that were around $16 a pop ! Omaigad ples mai monies...
Determined like the crazy makeup hoe that I am I went through over 20 websites (local and international) before I stumbled on www.bulkglitters.com and they sell the NICEST glitter for only $1 !!!
The glitters come in 2 sizes, the bitty jar (1 teaspoon of glitter) and the mini jar (2 teaspoons of glitter) the mini jar is $1.25 but the bitty jars are more than enough if u want to use it on makeup looks alone, if you are interested in the craft glitter they come in bigger jars for a slightly more expensive price.
BUT bulkglitters.com has a minimum order of 3 jars per colour, so I headed on to their sister website www.superglitters.com, over here there are no minimum orders BUT they only take about 300 orders a DAY so if you want to get through to the website better set that alarm early (I bought mine at around 9.30am so I guess an hour before/after is still ok) For those living in the US they have a flat rate shipping of $6.50 but for those living outside of the US the shipping rate will vary depending on your area, mine was about $8 maybe $10 ? And I live in Malaysia so thats actually not bad.
The glitters have many different types of finishes such as, metallic,holographic,iridescent etc so you can choose depending on the look you want to go for, on my first order I got 15 shades and the shipping took about 2 weeks to arrive, here are the shades;
** the smaller jars are from carousel the bigger ones are from www.superglitters.com
Here are the name of the shades
Now since they ARE loose glitters you have to use some form of glitter glue with it, I use TooFaced's Glitter Glue (RM95 at Sephora) but the Nyx Glitter primer (RM35) is quite good too, this is what that looks like

The only problem with this is that it usually sells out pretty quickly, at least in the Sephoras in Selangor. So the way to use it is to dab some glitter glue on your lids with a flat shader brush and then dip your brush into the glitter pot (I usually just use whatever is in the lid cause thats more than enough product) and then go to town on your eyelids and it will look something like this
Over here I used the Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay and the "Blushes Pink" glitter to create this rose gold glitter cut crease hehe. Hope that helps, thanks for reading and Eid Mubarak or Selamat Hari Raya everyone ! Till next time :) RQ xo
