Huda Beauty TexturedShadows Palette Rose Gold Edition REVIEW

Hi everyone, I'm just gonna get to it. The Huda Beauty eyeshadow palette is simply stunning. Mine was actually a birthday present from my cousin who bought it at Harrods in London. I have been lusting over this palette ever since it went viral, before I got my hands on it though I read + saw reviews on how the glitter shadows in the palette are actually pressed glitter and for some reason just repels a brush even when you use fix plus. So naturally I went to Huda Kattan's Youtube page to see how she uses it and there she explains that since those are PRESSED GLITTERS the way to use it is with your finger, to me personally it doesn't bother me but if you're a germaphobe or have synthetic nails then maybe working around that would be a bit tedious.

The price of this palette is $65 USD, $95 AUD, $56 GBP (sorry I couldn't find the pound symbol) and roughly RM310. Quite a pretty penny but personally I think it's worth it, lets see why;

This is the palette from the front of the box, the inside,with and without flash and also the back (just in case you wanna double check other palettes to see if it's authentic or just curious)

If I'm being completely honest the packaging COULD be better since it's such an expensive palette. The packaging is made of pretty strong card box material and the clear packaging at the front feels like plastic (?) not flimsy but not that durable. The actual shadows however are friggin dope. The mattes are super blendable and creamy (my favs are Sandalwood,Henna,Bae, Moondust and Rose Gold)
Moondust stands out to me cause it's a shimmer but it is so BLINDING it makes the perfect inner corner highlight and eyebrow highlight. It's super creamy and just .... blinding. Black Truffle in the palette is super black and easy to blend which made me super happy cause not all black eyeshadows are pigmented and blendable (looking at you Urban Decay Naked 3)

I love this palette cause I tend to reach for it during the day just as much as I do during night time. For the day I usually blend Henna,Sandalwood and Maneater in the crease and Moondust on the inner corner and lid.

For a night time/event look shown below,

Here I used (in order) Sandalwood as a transition shade, Henna to deepen up the crease, Maneater to add that red tone and then Coco all over the lid topped with Ultimate Nude loose glitter by superglitter.com (refer to last post) I topped off the look with Tarte Tarteist eyeliner and OYS (ohyessyamila on instagram) lashes, these were ony RM5 per pair ! And its super comfy and fluffy I love them.

Overall I think the shadows are pigmented and blendable and worth the money. Hope this helped ! xoxo - R
